Blog Reflection 5

This wasn't my first online class, but it was my first online class at LBCC. Since this summer, I took 3 classes..(YEA IM CRAZY) this online class, Child Development which was on campus and another online class Nursing Pharmocology..I ended up dropping the Pharmocology class because I wasn't learning ANYTHING. I think that online classes are only for certain people and I don't think they are for me. lol..i loved the on campus classes although it took time out of my schedule, but it loved interacting with people and actually talking to people i could put a face and name to. I don't regret this online experience though because i did learn a lot and I am very thankful for this experience. I think that I will only take classes that I know I have some idea of what is going on and classes like math or nursing classes definately need to be on campus for me. lol. In my online classes at Cypress, it was different than this a little because when there was a new announcement we would be emailed it which I thought was great because sometimes I don't have time to always check this website and I have my email synced to my phone so that whenever I recieve an email it shows up on my phone which is sooo convienient. At first I used to think that online classes are easier but after expieriencing both at the same time..i would have to disagree...THEY ARE DEFINATELY HARDER!! It takes a lot of more self study and you kind of have to think of things on your own because if you have a question the night it is due lol don't expect an answer that night because sometimes the teachers aren't there when you need them you know? but when you have a traditional classroom..some teachers let you work on projects in class and you have the ability to ask as many questions as you want before you go home. A lot more disapline i would have to say. As for this class..i don't think that an in classroom is necessary because almost all of the resources you use on the computer are found online and most students are computer knowledgeable if they take the course. I think that this class was perfect because it made me use my resources I had. THANKS DENA!!!
