Well, well...In this course so far, I have learned so much about the library that I didn't really think to notice about. I learned how to narrow down my searches significantly to find exactly what I am looking for. I feel like the things I am learning right now would definately be useful for my college education because when I go the library and I need to find a certain book, I know where to look and the proper way to research and find the information that I need.
This is not my first online course. I went to Cypress College before LBCC and I took many online classes to fit my schedule. I work full time and I go to school full time and I definatly suggest online classes to get the credits you need without having to go to school if you don't have time. I just wouldn't recommend online classes for stuff like math or science because if you don't understand those things, then you will fail. lol. Also, I would say that it is alot of discipline and if you don't have patience to learn on your own and make sure that you have your schedule on top of things, then you will fail. lol.
I am taking another online course right now that is ridiculously hard! It is Nursing Pharmocology. I don't want to drop right now, but I shouldn't of have taken it online and I regret it...That is why I suggest taking all science, nursing, math classes on campus because it is just worth it. You will understand a lot better and not be confused.

Yes this class I also think is really going to help you gain some solid ways to research for other classes. Like you said you are taking science classes and I know those require a lot of research so this class must be great.
ReplyDeleteI agree on the fact that people shouldn't take hard classes because I've tooking online classes before and I was not prepared for them I failed the class and I hate my slef for that cause I was on a roll to getting all A's and B's.
ReplyDeleteHello there! This Lib 3 class has also taught me a more proper and efficient way to do research. Now I feel more confident on my abilities to get better grades on research projects if I were to be asked to do one. I definitely agree that taking online courses is the way to go when a student is strapped for time. As a full time worker and student, I know what it is like to dread just getting to class when all you want to do is slow down and rest. One thing that has helped me out on my previous online courses is that I record all deadlines in my cell phone calendar. That way, I know exactly what homework to complete-plus I get an alert/alarm as a reminder. I once took a Math class online, and like you said, it was a nightmare. If a student does not know how to teach themselves, they will not do well in a class like that, I learned my lesson and steered clear of math classes- it was for my own good and my GPA’s sake. I wish you lots of luck on your Nursing Pharmacology class-it sounds tough, but you can do it!
